B&B Italia born in 1966, founded and led by Piero Ambrogio Busnelli, it is the first company of Made in Italy Design that denies the craft-like system and, already in that time, it modifies itself in an industrial system, until dividing itself in 1975 in two distinguished brands, B&BItalia and Maxalto. B&B Italia represents a worldwide reference standard for research and development in furnishing esign sector, and holds in its headquarters, based in Milan district and completely designed by famous architect Renzo Piano in1972, a prestigious laboratory of aesthetic research, that non only gathers the most enlighten artists of design sector, but also the most brilliant minds of technological innovation, who cooperate in order to create high quality products, both from aesthetic point of view and technical one. B&B Italia , after creating, designing and bringing on the international market some of the most famous products of Made in Italy Design, has been honoured with the admission to Foundation Altagamma ’s membership, a foundation that gathers the most prestigious Italian companies.
